We are immensely proud of our pupils' outstanding achievements. Tracking their progress at school is vital for supporting their learning journey. Below is a summary of the statutory assessment outcomes and what they entail:

 

Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

A 'Good Level of Development' (GLD) means that a child has met the expected level in the following areas of the curriculum by the end of Reception: Communication and Language; Physical Development; Personal, Social, and Emotional Development; Mathematics; and Literacy.

Phonics Screening Check in Year 1 and Year 2

The phonics screening check measures how well children can use their phonics skills and knowledge to read words, including 'alien' (pseudo) words. All children take the test in Year 1 and any children who do not pass will retake it in Year 2.

Multiplication Tables Check (MTC) in Year 4

The MTC assesses children's knowledge of times tables up to 12 x 12.

Key Stage 2 (Year 6) Standard Assessment Tests (SATs)

These tests, taken in May of Year 6, assess pupils' skills and knowledge in: Mathematics, Reading, and Grammar, Punctuation, and Spelling (GPS). The results provide a snapshot of children's understanding as they prepare for secondary school.
